How to get your site listed in a Search Engine successfully:


Metatag keywords and descriptions should be used as you know if you've looked into this topic at all. However what is new is that the standards are being raised by the search engines because of the large number of submissions to their sites. This means you want to write a good accurate description of your site. The MOST important point is to maximize your chances of being listed by ensuring all your keywords show up on your homepage at least THREE times!

So for example on my page I need to make sure the following words are listed on this page 3 times: pink rose flower paula, henderson hammann free cake bridal champagne heart graphic buffalo wedding window jpg photo french web sets

However typing your keywords over and over in your test is NOT a good idea. The Search Engines consider it to be Spam. (No one ever said getting your site listed in a search engine would be easy!... or if they did then they were wrong!) So if I tried to 'beat' the search engine system by typing some of my keywords (for example rose pink graphic free wedding bridal champagne heart jpg french sets flower and etc.) over and over that will just keep me from being listed in a search engine.

My recommendation is to use your keywords in your site in meaningful sentences and descriptions that are relevant to your webpage. (Place them at the bottom of your page if you are worried about the impact and design of your website.)
